Enjoyable rum but over priced compared to other Plantation rums. Lacks some of the sweetness and complexity that sets apart the other Plantation rums.
As a big fan of the Single Cask 1989, I was looking very much forward to this. While it clearly has that Angostura vibe, it is not really a stand-out to me. I wonder what the reasoning was for the blend of the three vintages, as non seem to really grant it a tremendous edge over other offerings. Still, a fine Trinidad rum, a touch sweet, smooth, no heat. A dessert rum.
