Magnificent rum with very powerful vegetal and fruity notes as well as an odor of varnish that takes over but leaves a certain freshness settled. On the palate, the varnish is always present as well as the alcohol but the fruity notes swing well to give a certain homogeneity and softness for a rum with 68.5% volume. This rum must absolutely breathe very long to express fully. A must have.

More superglue and varnish, fruit and tree nuts! It's the LROK squared. Ok, maybe that's a bit strong, but the direction we're going to. Full of flavour, a punch in the face but despite the high alcoholic level still sippable. Even sweetness appears although no sugar had been added for sure. Only six years old it behaves like a silverback. Mix it or sip it, it will always show forceful personality! Luckily I ordered three bottles while they still were, well, cheaper. I hope there will be more of this stuff, soon. Waiting for the Habitation Velier Hampden Vintage 2011 LFCH, the latest of the Hampden Trilogy...

Both this and the LROK show what you can do when you turn the esters up to 11.
Pour it, leave it for a while. If it's in the same room it'll come visit.
Take a sip and it's a smorgasbord of fruit and other flavours.

However man cannot live by Funk alone and it is a youngster that lacks years of oak.
It's an occassional sampler rather than a regular friend.
The LROK is slightly more drinkable.

Jeg er solgt. Sikke en dejlig rom. Fantastisk frisk frugt agtig duft.
Skarp kraftfuld smag.

A quite unique pure single rum. Nose: licorise, varnish (yes-truely Velier-like) fig, nutmeg,
Palate: spicy, lemon candy, butter, dunder, oil.
This is a top-Class Jamaican rum.

Incroyable
