Gosling's Black Seal rum

Gosling's Black Seal

Bermuda | Dark | 40% ABV

The James Gosling family business first produced Gosling Black Seal rum in 1806, and it is now the oldest surviving business on the island of Burmuda.

Gosling 'Black Seal' rum received it's name from the black wax originally used to seal the bottles. It is Bermuda's most widely exported product and considered the nation's national drink.

In arona is vanilla and dry fruits. In taste is also touch of caramel.

This is my go to choice for rum and coke. When PA runs a sale, I can pick up a handle for around 25$ which is a steal for this rum. I love the caramel and vanilla notes. I always pair it with a real sugar vanilla Pepsi, it really helps bring out the flavors this rum offers. Also this is THE rum for dark and stormies. Barritt's ginger beer, a fresh lime half and this rum equals an unparalleled experience.

I love dark rums, and this is a good one, especially for its price! The strong aftertaste is lovely.

Le pire rhum que j'ai bu. Parfait pour déboucher les toilettes.

What can you really say about the rum that seems to have coined the reputation as "the" DarknStormy mix..

Different than "normal" rum. Much spicey but comfortable on the tongue. Good one

I really prefer this rum on many occasions. It has great flavor and it is on of the best values when compared to the much higher priced, high quality rum. You get a lot for your money.

The only reason I give it a 7 is because I know there is better rum out there. This is quite possibly the best rum I've had. Good blend of flavors when taking it neat, not too thick for a mixed drink. Good for a dark'n'stormy or even with cola! Will definitely give this rum another go!
