Bermuda | Dark | 40% ABV

The James Gosling family business first produced Gosling Black Seal rum in 1806, and it is now the oldest surviving business on the island of Burmuda.

Gosling 'Black Seal' rum received it's name from the black wax originally used to seal the bottles. It is Bermuda's most widely exported product and considered the nation's national drink.

Went in with low expectations and was better than I thought. Not an unpleasant taste like some, but still would have liked a little molasses flavor. Have it as a 4.5 on my chart.

Always had this with gingerbeer. Recently, tried this straight and was surprised. I was hoping for a more molasses taste Found it sugary and strange. Still good with Ginger Beer. Only.

It's alright. Just doesn't stand out to me. Certainly would buy again. Simply for the price point it is a good value. The definition of down the middle. Maybe if I were a dark and stormy fan I would feel differently.

Goslings is a piratey rum which does not hide its features. It has a straight nose containing smoky notes that remind me of decent whisky. The palate is pretty rum-avg-like but nice. The aftertaste however tastes like smoky toffee and really raises the overall experience. Would buy again.

Nice rum for mixing, and good enough to sip too. I had it on my list to try and was not disappointed.

You can get it in most stores which is nice. Great in a Mai Tai.

I had added this to my Rum tasting Seminar and it totally took everyone by surprise on how amazing this rum is.Most of he group kept returning to it. The Feature cocktail was Dark & Stormy, but it was a huge hit as a sipping rum.

I recently picked up a bottle on sale for $16. Let start off by saying, at that price this is a good rum.

The scent isn't anything special - it has the smell one associates with dark rum. The taste is good, but not great. I drank it neat and it is easily consumable that way, although I'm sure it would be much better in a mixed drink. It tastes of caramel and vanilla with a slight, short burn after swallowing.

it's just very chocolate-y to me. I drunk quite a few Rums, but I am far from considering myself a connoisseur. I like spiced Rums and well.. whatever I simply "like". but this one stands out VERY strongly from the crowd for me. I loved it straight and I love it with Pepsi. (yes - I do drink Rums with Pepsi - as I don't Like Coca-Cola) :D

Din orice punct de vedere nu se merita incercat. La banii astia poti cumpara alt rom mult mai bun.
