Bermuda | Dark | 40% ABV

The James Gosling family business first produced Gosling Black Seal rum in 1806, and it is now the oldest surviving business on the island of Burmuda.

Gosling 'Black Seal' rum received it's name from the black wax originally used to seal the bottles. It is Bermuda's most widely exported product and considered the nation's national drink.

This rum is decent straight up smoother than I imagined, but nothing out of this world it does have some different types of flavor going in in it like some baking spices and brown sugar. It does mix well with their ginger beer, adds much flavor and no alcohol present at all.

Very sweet rum, nothing like the family reserve, this one def have added sugar.
Give a smokey taste too, tbh, I would compare this one more with the family of the spiced rum than the aged, fun to drink nit, and I guess very good in cocktails too.

Spicy and rather smooth dark rum with charred oak flavor with some baking spice hints. Nice enjoyed neat or mixed with soda or in the popular Dark and Stormy cocktail.
I love dark and black strap rums.
Nice job Gosling!

Dark n Stormy essential. I've used other more expensive rums in a pinch. Just not the same.

A Good sipper, but ideally this needs to be mixed with a spicy Jamaican ginger beer. Trust me you will not regret it!

Very decent dark rum for mixing. Not so good neat, but still a decent rum to try!

Got this rum mainly for this drink, and it's it's a really good drink. The rum itself is fruity, sweet and earthy. Also works well with Coke. All around it goes down easily.

Flavor is full, great neat or on ice. A splash of coke works well too.

I had this rum in a seafood restaurant where they smoked the rum in house. This rum was good to start with but once smoked, and with some ice, it went to a whole new level. When you fist taste it you immediately get the smoky flavor. From there it becomes very dark and smooth. I haven't had it regular but I would imagine that it would be great in a Dark and Stormy.

Iv'e always skipped this bottle since it never appealed to me. Finnaly decided to give it a try and it pretty good. Not to strong with a good taste for a mixer.
