The James Gosling family business first produced Gosling Black Seal rum in 1806, and it is now the oldest surviving business on the island of Burmuda.
Gosling 'Black Seal' rum received it's name from the black wax originally used to seal the bottles. It is Bermuda's most widely exported product and considered the nation's national drink.
You can't beat a Dark and Stormy. Also mixed with Goslings Gold makes the best rum Swizzle
This rum was my first introduction to rums that could be enjoyed straight, with no mixers to mask the already excellent flavor. Black Seal is very smooth. A great introduction to the world of rum.
The deep flavour of this rum brings to mind old clipper ships and comfort during dark, stormy nights. Goslings has a sweet taste with a hint of oak. This goes well with ginger beer for a Dark and Stormy. Mmmmm!
had the dark and stormy and it was really good had a different taste i liked it
Dark and smokey, no ice needed.
Dark n Stormies are great crisp summer beverage!!
Also, made a double chocolate rum cake which was delicious.
Man, this is the best taste out there for the price. And I know I'm not alone in my thinking, after sharing with a couple of friends I have converted them from Rye to Rum
Strong slightly treacle aroma on opening with slight burnt overtone might not suit everyone but this really suited my taste buds. I got some spice flavours at the end of cinnamon and perhaps nutmeg. Delicious mixed. Highly recommended!!
it's just very chocolate-y to me. I drunk quite a few Rums, but I am far from considering myself a connoisseur. I like spiced Rums and well.. whatever I simply "like". but this one stands out VERY strongly from the crowd for me. I loved it straight and I love it with Pepsi. (yes - I do drink Rums with Pepsi - as I don't Like Coca-Cola) :D
A very sweet dark. Usually drink this on the rocks with ice however it does fine with soda.
This rum serves a special place in the collection! It's the base for a Dark'N'Stormy cocktail and really can't be beaten for that. It's rotten for anything else.
If you don't already know about this rum, start researching. PERFECT rum for the Dark and Stormy drink of Bermuda. I always have a bottle of this to make dark and stormy's when the mood is right!
Great rum with smooth flavour not a special rum but one that you need in your collection. A weekend afternoon drink on the deck.
This rum is perfect for the Dark N Stormy cocktail with it´s dark, thick flavor. Also good in tiki drinks, obviously.
This is another one of those rums where taste is not a factor of price. This rum works in a cocktail as well as in the glass with a big rock to open things up a bit. In one of my recent tastings this rum can in tied with my Pillar's rum that cost much more. This bottle has a place on my mixing shelf and sometimes, I use it for a cheap date with an ice cube.
I really prefer this rum on many occasions. It has great flavor and it is on of the best values when compared to the much higher priced, high quality rum. You get a lot for your money.
i really like goslings with coke, but must try these dark n stormys to see what the fuss is about.
Full and smooth a keeper
Super good. I don't know much about rum, but I like it!
One my favorite drinks, I just can't get enough. Truly a one of a kind dark rum. But why copyright a drink? Come on guys....
I like the Goslings. It is not my first choice, but very good. A respectable sipping rum, with some good taste and fairly smooth. A decent mixer. It was worth the try, but not sure if I would buy again. It is an above average dark rum.
rich, ruby butterscotch treacle rum, lovely in a dark n stormy, lovely mixed elsewhere, smooth and drinkable straight. This is my 2nd love next to Skipper.
Color : Dark mahogany
Flavour : Treacle, ripped fruits, spices like caramel & cumin, toffee
Palate : Soft & gentle but rich, clean finish
It's THE rum to use to do a Dark n' Stormy (official Bermuda drink), a must to have in your cabinet...
this has some delicious sweet dark flavour notes that comes after you swallow the first sip, great in a dark and stormy like its stronger brother, the 151 but great with coke or on its own, i also like it in a rum manhattan, the caramels coming through
