Thanks so much for submitting a report. It has been emailed to the Rum Captain and will be actioned shortly.
This rum (if you can call it that) smells and tastes like a distilled alcohol with a side of turpentine and vegetable compost. I am sure you could bury the taste and smell with some fruit juice but I think it will still taste awful. Their standard white rum is just as bad, so I don't know where they got the idea this was premium. I have seen some ratings of 1 in this site, which I thought was a bit harsh, but now I know that there is a rum that is truly deserving of the lowest rating of 1.
Don't buy this rum.
Very similar to gasoline and diesel, but with a feint hint of rum and island living on the aftertaste...
Rum tasting in Kiev Ukraine continued with Labourdonnais Premium White Rum. Decent bottle and label design. Clear color. Strong vanilla extract is overshadowed with pure unaged alcohol to your nose and palate when neat sipped. Harsh but surprisingly short burn at the end. Mixer rum by all counts.
