I typically avoid spices rums because apparently I am a snob, but I picked this one up because I needed some, and foursquare has never done me wrong. Very strong spice flavors and very sweet, if you are looking for some fall spice flavors in a cocktail this is definitely usable.

I think people would either love it or hate it. I think the spice was a lot if you drink this by itself. With coke and root beer this is wonderful.

Aroma is cinnamon and burnt sugar, the rum comes through, but the taste doesn't back it up, cinnamon all the way and little else

On the nose, there is mix of German Spekulatius cookies scent with cinnamon, nutmeg, cloves, ginger, cardamom, first few shots were actually too dry for my palate (no sugar added here) to put it together with all these spices. As you get through the bottle, the spices get a bit muted and the rum body starts to be more recognizable and althought it is quite young (I would guess around 3y), it adds some fruity traits to the taste, it plays well with the spices and it is really fun to sip it. The aftertaste is long and (of course) spicy, with some alcohol burn. Makes also an interesting rum and coke with a touch of Christmas. I am not a big fan of spiced rums, but this one has style.
Spices in the rum are quite subtle.
"Quite a nice rum, though not really a spiced rum."

Try to get a well lit shot from the front of the rum label

Labeling a rum as “spiced”, shouldn’t be a license to steal. I expect more. Especially from a company with Foursquare’s reputation. Cinnamon is not the flavor I expect when buying a spiced rum. Not drinkable neat and didn’t work mixed with coke. Will keep searching for something to mix this with to help me finish the bottle.
