Pale gold color, mild alcohol scent nice Agricole Ruhm. Much easier to drink than Clements, surprisingly smooth but not a lot of depth. Traveling throughout Caribbean and West Indies I really appreciate this rum. Solid 7, for experienced rum aficionados.

I got this 5cl rum sample in the first batch from Rum Ratings Club, so it’s just a first impression. If I run into a bottle I will probably buy it so I can check it out a little bit deeper.
It’s a blend that’s at least 6yo from Martinique and Reunion which I think gives it a taste somewhere between Martinique and Guadeloupe Rhum as it gets a bit of the juiciness and the power that characterizes Guadeloupe rum.
On the nose you will find Cane Sugar, Cinnamon, Pepper and Crème Caramel. Upon tasting you also discover Raisins, Licorice and Tropical Fruits. The finish goes in the same way and is medium long. It’s one of the best, almost perfect, blend of Agricole and molasses rums that I’ve tasted.

This rum was a lot better than the other Rum & Cane offerings. Nice on the nose and palette. Fruity , earthy and flavoursome.. nice cane juice combination. Would recommend.

Excellent packaging, perfect bottle, dark golden colour rum. Lacks in smell but a nice surprise with the first sip. A bit medicinal, a little burn in the mouth, nice after flavour. Let it breathe, and try it again, the flavours come out, I have moved the mark up to 7.

I’m not a fan of cane juice rums, but this one isn’t too bad. Medium viscosity with subtle sweetness and nice finish. Better than their Asia Pacific expression.

No floral notes very woody with a strong after taste. Not my favorite,

A bit lighter in color but a surprising amount of flavor. Pretty smooth but not very complex. Quite drinkable.

Very oaky and intense right out of the bottle. It packs an alcohol kick, and is rather bitter even after mellowing. It mellows a trifle after breathing a few minutes, and a lot if you give it about 20 minutes. It is almost a different drink. The angry bitter finish begins to morph into complex flavors after breathing. I had to compare it to a sip of bourbon to be sure, but this is just oaky and not bourbonish. In spite of (or perhaps because of) its bitterness, I could see this one as a pick-me-up in a pina colada, but not a mai tai or anything cola based. I think the sweet and sour of the pina colada components would make a nice balance. A bit of water would also change the sipping experience. Right after opening it is about a 3, but after letting it sit and breathe, I bump it to an 8.

A woody dos maderas like a wine taste but watered down and bitter, bit rough

Nose: Strong sugarcane, licorice. Palate: Carmel, slightly astringent. I enjoyed the Asia Pacific expression of this brand more.
