Plantation Overproof O.F.T.D.

I thought I have had some great rums until now. This blew me away. It frankly is far & away the best I've ever had. Now I know what great rum should taste like. Love the bit of Jamaican funk in this blend. I'm spoiled now and can't go back to my former favorites.

Nice strong bold taste ... high percentage rum, make sure not to make your drink too strong :-)

Caramel, toffee, vanilla, with warm spices and buttery notes on the tongue and a hell of a fiery burn. Perhaps a hint of hogo but not much. More well rounded than Lemonhart 151 but with a bit less burn. It will really make a great mixer for tiki drinks! I am toying with idea of including this in a rum blend of my own making…

My favorite in the overproof section, not brutal but strong, possible to sip not so funky with body and fruits.

Although this is 69%, it is actually quite smooth to drink and has a unique vanilla flavour. I mean, it may be very fiery but crazily enough, i actually get enjoyment out of drinking this neat or on ice! I haven't yet tried this in a cocktail like Mai Tai's but no doubt it would be phenomenal. Great rum! Also useful for some Dutch courage or times you need to get instantly merry.

Here we go again. Not only is this rum great tasting, it is rich, ornery, and bold. As a master crafted, affordable overproof it is an indispensable steroid for your home bar and an essential for your local cocktail hang out. Basically with this and a handful of other plantation greats you truly don’t need to go outside the brand to have a vast gambit of tastes from the rum world that potentially can re-define the taste of even your most familiar cocktails. Great buy, great rum.

I can't sipping this but in a Mia Tia or an old fashion this baby shined.. it has a unique after taste I can't seem to figure out.. pair with artisan 3 star plantation rum and simple sugar with a citrus fruit and a splash of cola it really gets you where you're going.

Plantation does not disappoint on this one! At 69% this rum has far more complexity then most at far less abv. O.F.T.D. Is defined in my own words as Oh.Fuck.Thats.Delicious. This dark overproof rum makes some kick ass Cuba Libres and painkillers. Would recommend to anyone that wants a cocktail with more oomph.
