Easily consumable in a bind
What a big disappointment the Duncan Taylor Guyana rum 1997 from Diamond Distilleries really was. I thought of a very high end El Dorado lookalike rum, but no, this is a glue and rubber smelling and tasting rum from Guyana, very similar to the Jamaican glue rums. Just simply awful stuff.
Another great single cask Guyana rum.
This one is a 18 year old pot still from the defunct Uitvlught distillery.
From the taste you would not say this is a single cask rum, as its very well balanced. The 18 years in oak did their job!
Nice fruitines, though a bit lighter than expected from a pot still.
Starting to like these Guyana rums without sugar quite a bit. ☺
