Flor De Cana Gran Reserve 7 is produced in Nicaragua using a three-column still process. Distilled according to a precise recipe, the rum is aged for seven years in charred oak barrels that previously held Jack Daniels Tennessee Whiskey.
Flor De Cana is part of the Grupo Pellas, Compañia Licorera de Nicaragua, SA. The name, Flor De Cana, means “flower of the sugarcane.

I've never had the sensation of a spicy pop before like I had with this Flor de Cana. It's interesting, but the fun wears off quickly and it simply turns too spicy with little remaining flavoring. Short finish with an earthy pine type taste.
Not bad to drink alone but too expensive to use for mix
Herkomst: Nicaragua
Abv: 40%
Fles: 25cl tube
Aroma: hout,.tabak karamel
Smaak: zacht, droog,.zoetig tabak, karamel
Nasmaak: droog. karamel, kruiden.
For me the 7 years old Flor de Cana is drinkable only mixed up, because he tastes in the finish like cheap hooch. Except the finish it is ok.
Chears
a nice sweet almost bourbon flavoured rum, nice with coke and lime.
Nothing that sets the world on fire, but by the same token, there's not much wrong with it either. Smooth enough, but lacks kick and length so over all is a little bit bleh!

Fellow rum enthusiasts may not agree with me, but I enjoy Flor de Cana in mixed drinks, especially Mojitos. I get such great joy ordering up a Flor de Cana Mojito at a bar when it's available. Depending on the bartender, you may be reminded that traditional Mojitos are made with white rum. Never fear to have something new.
Flor de Cana is smooth, smells great, slightly boozy, and can costs about $30 depending on where you do. If you are willing to pay $30 for a dark rum, there are other good options depending on if you want to sip or mix. I would advise you to spend no more than that on Flor de Cana.
I can enjoy a glass of this during a hot summers evening with an ice cube!
Definitely better than house rum... but not my favorite for sipping or mixing. Its got a little too much bite for me to sip, but the other flavors overpower a mix a little bit. Still very drinkable... and very preferred over cheap/common labels.
This is one of my go to rums for mixing aged rum. At $21 a bottle you can't beat the price. It's smooth enough to drink on the rocks but really stands out mixed with a coke.
Nothing special and good with coke. I won't buy this next time. .
Love the Ron Floe de Cana #7 and all theFlor de Cana rums there great with to mix or just sipping love them all
Not ideal for sipping. Excellent for Cuba Libres. A classic choice that I will continue going back to.
Not a sipping rum, but very good with ginger ale.
A decent sipper, sort of gets lost with coke.
Well appointed, but not remarkable
This rum is okay, but I really expected something smoother for 7 year aged rum.
Nice smooth rum, great daily drinker
Surprising for a 7 yo.
Surprenant pour un 7 ans.
Found this to be a pretty standard middle of the range rum offering. With notes of fruit, nuts and spice in the body that lead to a light smoky oak finish. Great for Mojito's and other fruit based cocktails.
