Flor de Caña Gran Reserva 7-Year

Un rhum vraisemblablement non trafiqué, mais dilué à 40%, d'un âge véritable de 7 ans.
Le prix est peu élevé, et le rendu correct : des notes légères de vanille, un peu de bois, quelques fruits secs et une légère pointe amère.
Pas le rhum du siècle, mais plutôt simple à boire, à utiliser pur, avec des glaçons ou pour les cocktails.

Dry and balance esay to enjoy this rum on the rocks, but is not complex enough to justify sipping. Better for Cuba Libres and mixed drinks.

It's an everyday rum, not sweetened, it's good enough to sip neat, doesn't pretend to be something else.

It's a smooth rum and the finish lingers quite a while. The taste is not very strong so I'd say it's a good beginners rum.

Un rhum un peu sec et corsé, avec des senteurs boisées. Manque un peu de longueur, ça reste un rhum moyen à mon gout.

I really like the flavors. Great rum for mixed drinks or shots. Not enough complexity or finish for sipping. But it's cheap. I can see myself keeping a bottle around.

Starts off with some nice caramel overtones, but the alcohol aftertaste is pretty unpleasant. Not enough going on here to make it a compelling sipper, yet it mixes well enough. And it's cheap. I won't ever need to buy a second bottle, because there are much better rums in this middle-shelf category.

This rum is nothing special and also not bad. I have tastend beter runs than this.
