Enjoyed a bottle of New Grove Single Cask 2007 Rum while vacationing in Tokyo. Pretty nice and unique bottle and label design. Golden color. Pure alcohol, plenty of grassy and earthy Rhum Agricole flavors alongside vanilla extract and oak to the nose and palate when neat sipped. Strong and dry burn at the end. Rhum Agricole fan boys can add 2 points to my score.
Very dark mahogany color, this rum from New Grove is a selection for the French Brotherhood of Rum. Result of a competition, the selected winner was able to choose this New Grove Single Cask. The nose is on the solvent, the exotic fruits too ripe but also the citrus fruits and the brown sugar. On the palate, alcohol is well represented but very well integrated, it is well stocked. It's very gournand, on nuts. You have to give him plenty of time to express himself. Very nice final, hot, on the nuts. Nice selection
Golden colour. A lot of sweetness on the nose and on the palate. I almost want to say honey sweetness. Very smooth all the way down. It is aged and I like it.
Suer fruité, avec du corps et un beau caractère. Un poil épicé, et légèrement sec. J'adore !
