I had this for the first time at Pirate house restaurant in Savannah. I loved it so much I ordered it online.

Not completely in love with the balance, but highly respect them doing their own thing. Its one thing to go the easy route and make the same juice as everyone, but these guys create their own, and I respect that. We would never have many rums if Don Pancho did not work for decades to create the amazing spirits he is known for.
Found this while in Savannah, and will drink again when in the area, kudos boys.

I had a buddy give me a bottle of this SC rum and was really impressed. It's great sipping on the rocks, and has become my go to for a mixer with ginger ale. For around $30 a bottle it's a great deal.

Nice tour of the very new distillery. Hand numbered batch and bottle label. Strong cinnamon, clove as well as other spices and citrus, plus an odd floral note. Typically sweetened, young, astringent alcohol bite. But mostly the long lasting floral taste/smell was very off-putting. Mix it with fruit juices, apple? Pear?
I was fortunate enough to visit the Daufuskie Island Rum Co during a vacation. I have a place in my heart for this company in that the owner is from KY, my state, and we both like Woodford. The rums offered are very basic and overall good. I'd love to see this place at the 20 year mark where they could potentially blend and add some age. All of the rums are smooth, but the flavor complexity is still a bit underwhelming when compared to larger companies. None the less, this is a great company and the overall feel and dedication is enough for me to keep interests in the company.

I'm not a fan of spiced rums. They're always to sweet with no "spice". A friend gave me a bottle, I was touched by the gift but wasn't expecting it to be so good. It's actually spiced! It has flavors of cinnamon and clove that mix beautifully with cola. It's not super sweet and is very well priced.
