Nicaragua | Aged | 40% ABV | Column Still (1-4) Distilled
A sugar-free 12-year old, ultra premium rum that is sustainably produced (Carbon Neutral & Fair Trade certified). From a 5th generation family estate, it is naturally aged without artificial ingredients, distilled 100% with renewable energy and KOSHER certified. A full-bodied rum with a long and smooth finish that lingers in the palate. Best enjoyed in a Rum Old Fashioned or with a splash of premium sparkling water or ginger ale and an orange twist.

Ok to have on it’s own, but isn’t that polished that would make you drink it more than one glass. Nice Flor De Cana flavour, some oak, some booze on the palate. Nothing artificial comes out, which is good
Perfectly delicate taste. Light not to complex but hits the spot
If not the Eco 15, this is in my bar. A great story behind this brand and this bottle is a strong workhorse in my bar from sipping to cocktails. A bit raunchy in the best way but quickly turns into its best possible self to make the best of any occasion. Bottle has a strong presence on the bar and is easily recognized and asked for vs other similar rated bottles.
Great rum for making strong Cuba Libres. Has a nice flavor and is pretty smooth.
Fair rum, quite well-balanced and not very sweet with strong oak flavour.
I’d recommend this with ginger beer, naturally sweet, smooth
Very nice and easily accessible sipper. Good at the price point and the environmental commitment of the company is laudable.
It was nice but not as nice as expected ,,, i will be trying it with orange peel to see if that helps
The nose is quite harsh (especially immediately after decanting) - almost like pencil sharpenings soaked in ethanol.
By comparison, the taste is smooth and pleasant, with a prominent creamy butterscotch flavour that is more dry than sweet. I would expect far more depth and a longer finish from a 12-year-old rum though.
While most rums of this age would make a decent mixer, if you can justify mixing a rum in that price bracket, Flor de Caña 12-Year simply doesn't have enough character to punch through. Even ignoring the price difference, I'd much rather use a younger (and cheaper) rum that adds more flavour.
'smooth and full of fruit and nut flavors'
"Flor de Cana 12-Year rum review by The Ultimate Rum Guide"
There is very little astringency or “booze” noted in the nose.
"A sip reveals a very smooth yet spicy rum. There is very little burn it tingles on the lips and tongue for a long time. It is a long finish."
Try to get a well lit shot from the front of the rum label

Mi-corsé et plus sec que ce qu'on attendrait, il révèle en bouche des saveurs de clou de girofle, de chocolat noir et de fruits séchés, menant à une finale chaleureuse de longueur moyenne. excellent rapport qualité/prix.
