Vůně: Ovocnější a lepší jak u Flor de Cana 18, přesto stále takový nevyzrálý
Chuť: silnější rum s poměrně výrazným pálením na dojezdu.

I really wanted to enjoy the zesty orange, mahogany and nutty complex this bottle offers... however, I find most Flor De Cana rums nearly impossible to enjoy due to the overpowering taste of alcohol. Is this rum or vodka? Depending on the cost of fuel at the pump, buy a bottle of this and fill your truck with it.

Flor de Cana 12 year rum starts with a drink at the throat, and not the mouth. From the throat the drink envelopes to the mouth and distills into the sinus which notices a hint of caramel and Mahogony. Upon taking the drink, the spirit bites once, maybe twice before settling in where and when the second sip begins. This is where and when, you light that Cigar. "and if you do this it'll help you some sunny day" or night... Enjoy the best!
Complex, with a smooth aftertaste. I would recommend this to anyone, but there are better rums to be had at this price range.

Compared 12 yr vs 18 yr. Both smell extremely similar, the 12 tastes a touch bit sweeter and is slightly more rough, the 18 tastes a little bit more buttery and slightly more smooth but they are very close. I like the 18 better than the 12. I like diplomatico exclusiva better than both.

It has a stronger alcohol aroma than taste especially once sat to breath for a minute. The mellow oaky, caramel, vanilla banana and a touch of chocolate tastes are very subtle and subsides too quick for my liking. It has all the traits of a brilliant younger rum. I expected a bit more from a 12 year, but at the price you can't complain.
