Flor de Caña Centenario 12-Year rum is distilled in a continuous column still process, then rests for 12 years in small American white oak barrels that previously held whiskey and bourbon.
Flor de Caña was founded in 1890 by Francisco Alfredo Pellas at the San Antonio Sugar Mill, in Chichigalpa, Nicaragua. The company remains headed by the Pellas family to this day and harvests the molasses and sugarcane used to create their rum from fields adjacent to the distillery in Chichigalpa.

A nice aroma and colour in the glass , a little astringent at first but settles down quickly into a very well made rum with just the right amount of sweetness in it. Nice exit with no real burn , enjoyable. Also makes a good mixer.
Would like to try the 18 or 25.
Very nice and creamy. Great fireside. marry with ice about 10 minutes.
Very Nice smooth rum, great daily drinker
Flor de Cana Centenario is a sweet but strong aged rum (12years) from nicaragua, with some smoky tobacco and oak flavours. Not my favourite but a good one!
Better on the rocks, nice in cocktails
I grabbed this on our first trip to Aruba. I wanted to try a Nicaraguan Rum and this was a perfect starter. Now, that I have tried the 18 YO, I am spoiled though.
Reasonably good, a bit thin, not the cleanest finish. But I'll gladly drink it! Doesn't beat my gold standard, El Dorado 15.
This is a fine 12 year rum, smooth, balanced and full of fruits, nuts and light spice flavours but unfortunately for this rum i tried it right before a shot of their 18 year old which i suppose as expected outshone it. All the same though it was a quality product and will happily try it again on its own next time lol
Top rum that has a hole in it's profile somewhere. I haven't quite put my finger on where it has the spoke missing but am enjoying trying to find it ;)
