What y'all want for an amount of 8 €? You can get a shot with friends, mix a really good cubato.
Well this one ain't complex or 5 star tasty, but old pascas is my fellow for a long time. Take him as he is.

It's ok for that price but a little bit rough aftertaste..

A bit harsh, but beneath the burn there's vivid notes of vanilla and apricot. For an experienced tongue this is very tolerable. A good mixer with cola. Lacks the hefty sour and fruit notes found in a true dark rum.

Taste good, i mixed doing a Cuba libre and was wonderful, i got it for 4.15€ in a ship trip, so i think price is fair enough and nice deal that i obviously improved.

...is what it says on my bottle.

The rum is quite dark and I am nearly sure it has colouring agent in there. So colour is irrelevant.

Imported to Germany by Borco (who are a very solid indicator of quality, but inexpensive spirits).

Nose and taste are the same really; so: Slightly sweet, very slightly funky, more than a hint of molasses. A bit of woody something in the background. Spices, maybe. A bit of alcoholic burn, but nothing terrible. Can be sipped, can be mixed. Nothing spectacular, but without any fault either. Very solid and much better than many rums at twice, thrice, even quadruple its price.
Not overly complex, but not even really boring.

Even the bottle looks nice.

Recommended. Try it at least once - it is inexpensive and much better than one might expect from the price.

I rate it a "5", because I like my rums even punchier and the Jamaica Dark Rum of the same name (Old Pascas Fine Old Dark Jamaica Rum) is even better. If you like lighter (not really light) dark rums, you might like this even better, a "6", maybe and "7" even.

Nor sure why it's referred to as superior - definitely not that league. Overall ok, but has that strange disturbing aftertaste. Ok for it's price

For its price very acceptable, would go into cocktails, while for me stands neat, too. Has shades of sweetness, and vanilla, like many dark rums do, yet without exaggeration, which is right. Slight harshness can be heard around, but nothing crucial, I'd say. They didn't state Barbados on my label anymore, thus it can be blend with Jamaican, as I recall seeing noted elsewhere. Which makes think corrections to the product, and improved experience, I could only confirm now. No disappointment with Old Pascas so far, after White was understood and embraced before, more difficult than this one, which is decent rum.

OK, this rum is nothing special or something to remember, but on the price it comes (where I live is less than 6 Euro) it's much, much better that many other rums in the same or higher price range. Honestly, I'd prefer it every time before the artificial vanilla infused cheapos like Morgan and Bacardi.
