You definitely get the alcohol to the nose. Stronger alcohol content than typical. I expected stronger alcohol heat but not as bad as nose thou tongue numb from alcohol. I get more of a tobacco, dried fruit and subtle caramel taste. Ok rum at best but don’t think it’s worth price

This is pure alkohol. Tastes more like whiskey as like rum. No sweetness!

Even with a quite high percentage of alcohol, this rum is sweet and nice to sip. First, it shows you its nice copper color with long legs on your glass then come flavor like vanilla and cinnamon.
It was nice to taste it :-)

Nice coppery color with notes of caramel, coffee, toffee, vanilla and exotic fruits. A rum very rich, fat, complex but very sweet despite the 57.5% alcohol. A long final. Great rum.

Bottled March 2016, 247 bottles. 57,1% abv. Great for sipping. High abv, though balanced.
