A sugar-free 18-year old, ultra premium rum that is sustainably produced (Carbon Neutral & Fair Trade certified). From a 5th generation family estate, it is naturally aged without artificial ingredients, distilled 100% with renewable energy and KOSHER certified. A full-bodied rum with a long and smooth finish that lingers in the palate. Best enjoyed neat or on a rock, with a peel of orange.

Let me preface this with dating that the aftertaste is brilliant, it is smooth, rich and lingers long
But to get there you get a very harsh alcohol taste first. It does get better when it sits for a while but I expected more from a premium rum.
Encore une belle découverte dans la gamme de cette distillerie.
Du beau travail. Je recommande.
This rum was a disappointment considering the age statement, as both the aromas and flavour were muted and watery. It has notes of dry fruit with light caramel and maybe hints of smoke, but in no way gave tribute to the legacy it hails from.
Hmm, this rum is not really good but also not really bad. On the palate : nut; but cannot say which nut. Finish is short and a little bit sharp. I decided to blend this Flor de Cana 18 with Ron Botugal Reserva 1:1. Significantly better, sweeter, nut with choclate.
At least I added a little Planatation XO. What should I say : PERFECT. Try that mix for yourself, it's really great
I like to drink rums in shot and this is really a perfect match to do so !!! Very nice taste and great length… strongly recommended !!!
It's a great one to buy if you have a few pals coming round. Very versatile and reasonably priced.
Toffee, Caramel, Dark Chocolate, hazlenuts and a little touch of tobacco give a sweet but not overly cloying nose.
"It’s not overly sweet and retains a dryness which is particularly good on the finish."
Try to get a well lit shot from the front of the rum label

Tried this on the recommendation of drier rums. Pretty good. A slight sweetness with what seems to be hints of orange zest (I think). It does have an oak wood flavor to it but not overwhelming. Definitely will make a fine sipping rum for some. Not for me, however. I like it with my Coke Zero. However it's an overall excellent rum. A must have for a well rounded rum cabinet.
