A sugar-free 18-year old, ultra premium rum that is sustainably produced (Carbon Neutral & Fair Trade certified). From a 5th generation family estate, it is naturally aged without artificial ingredients, distilled 100% with renewable energy and KOSHER certified. A full-bodied rum with a long and smooth finish that lingers in the palate. Best enjoyed neat or on a rock, with a peel of orange.

Flor de Cana is one of my favourite Rum producers on the planet, with their sustainability, fair-trade, and excellent quality, they're hard to beat. For me, their 18yo is there most accessible and delicious products. Delicate on the nose, with hints of oak, vanilla, and warming spices, but strong and hot on the pallet (in a good way) with no artificial sweetness or lingering bitter taste, and smooth on the finish. Of all of their premium rums, this is by far my go to.
Delicate and smooth, a crime to drink any way but neat. Please savour!
Eye
Dark Brown, Amber, Golden
Nose
Kind of sweet (not so much as other rums), Smooth (can't smell any alcohol), woody, some honey, vanilla, chocolate, fruits.
Taste
so smooth, bit of sweet at the begin, bit bitter ending, definitive wood, vanilla, spicy, unctuous, dense, matted, delicious.
Obviously even better then the 12yrs old one, more depth, even less afterburn, rich aromas. Sadly is quite pricey but its woth every cent
Well balanced scents of oak and molasses. A pleasure to sip straight up.
I'm on my third bottle since I've moved to Costa Rica a month ago. This is a great rum to sip with a cigar it is not a 10 merely due to comparison to it's 25 year counterpart. It is not as smooth as the 25 but not as spicy as the 12th. It has a very Carmalee taste with a very nice finish. For the price it is very difficult to beat.
superb rum really nice balanced nice and smooth rum
Letting it breath for a few minutes... and sip it up slowly... very good dry rum. I had it first on Corn Island, Nicaragua... perfect combo..
This is a very smooth, easy drinking rum. Caramel, molasses, wood and slight vanilla flavours, but it's also very dry and will appeal to those who don't like the overly sweetened rums. It's a bit pricey, but worth it I think.
Toffee, Caramel, Dark Chocolate, hazlenuts and a little touch of tobacco give a sweet but not overly cloying nose.
"It’s not overly sweet and retains a dryness which is particularly good on the finish."
Try to get a well lit shot from the front of the rum label

Medium dry sipper, smooth with a very slight burn.
