A sugar-free 18-year old, ultra premium rum that is sustainably produced (Carbon Neutral & Fair Trade certified). From a 5th generation family estate, it is naturally aged without artificial ingredients, distilled 100% with renewable energy and KOSHER certified. A full-bodied rum with a long and smooth finish that lingers in the palate. Best enjoyed neat or on a rock, with a peel of orange.

I'm not sure if anyone else has got this but i get a very nice hint of coconut flavour in this rum. This makes it pretty unique for me and it is also quite smooth. I think i could rate this a bit higher but i need to drink more to edit my rating since i have only tried a small amount. Definitely a decent rum for sure.
Having tried the 7, then 12, and now finally the 18. All I can say is you might as well stick with the 7. I truly truly wanted to love this and wished that with the higher price and supposed aging that it would be more flavorful. Disappointingly, it’s still too mild and vodka like. It’s slightly better than the 12 which was the worst of the bunch, and smoother than the 7 which may be the most flavorful. Sadly, not worth the price. If you let it breathe for a good while it’s better but still barely there vanilla, coconut, nutty flavor. I still don't understand the high ratings.
Nice colour, smell was ok. It is dry, but no great afterburn. It is well-balanced rum. Good price for 18 year.
Good smell, a little bit too fruity, some caramel, but no taste to remember. Good to drink, I will not refuse it, but this is not something I would value as my favorite
I really enjoy sipping on this with the oak smell and taste it delivers a nice smooth drink.
Note: I'm a sipper. My opinion is based on sipping characteristics.
I can't help but compare Flor de Cañas to El Dorados in a way. For example, both have really great 12-year olds that one should definitely try. But while the 15-year El Dorado feels much more mature than its younger counterpart, I can't say the same about the 18-year Caña. Honestly, I expected much more. Unfortunately it did not deliver. I'm not saying it's not good or actually better than its younger sibling, it just ain't *that* better. A great sipper in a great bottle, a must-try and all but certainly let me down a bit. As much as I wanted to give it an 8, there's another member of the family that gets it quite unexpectedly even for myself.
Toffee, Caramel, Dark Chocolate, hazlenuts and a little touch of tobacco give a sweet but not overly cloying nose.
"It’s not overly sweet and retains a dryness which is particularly good on the finish."
Try to get a well lit shot from the front of the rum label

Expected more from a $50 bottle. More bourbon like than rummish, fairly thin, didn't get much caramel, vanilla or typical rich sweetness. Had to try but not again for me
