Flor de Caña 18-Year Centenario Gold Rum is produced in Chichigalpa, Nicaragua. The rum is crafted using column stills and is then aged for 18 years.
The 18-year variety is the oldest rum produced by Flor de Caña, a brand owned by Grupo Pellas and founded in 1890 Francisco Alfredo Pellas. A 5th generatino Pellas family member still runs the company today.
de color caramelo con un sabor de lo mejor que he probado, no dudo en recomendarlo, ya que du sabor no es invasivo lo que asegura una celebración excelente
My absolute favorite. The only rum I thoroughly enjoy neat. No need for mixers, ice or even stones. Just beautiful, delicious, complex, and VERY smooth rum.
Amazing Rum for Zipping. Smooth and goes down easy. What a Rum!
Its amazing, a must try!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! You buy now!!!!
I'll give this Flor de Cana a 10 just because from all of the rums that I have tried this one so far has been my favorite, $50 for a bottle but is so worth it, you can have the whole bottle in one night and I'll guarantee you next morning you will feel like you didnt even drink the night before.
This is an excellent rum for the price range. Too good and too expensive to waste as a mixer, but not so expensive that I couldn't share. This is my go-to for an affordable sipping rum (straight or on the rocks), and my go-to suggestion for people wanting to break in to sipping rums.
try this room. of you like amber rums this one will impress you. smooth from start to finish. excellent value. worth every penny
Received this as a Xmas gift and was nothing short of ecstatic to uncork it. I let it breathe for a while and had it on the rocks. Extremely smooth all the way down. Leaves a nice warm feeling down in your belly and an amazing flavor pallette in your mouth.
Flor de Caña Nicaraguan Rum 18 years is one of my favorite rums to sip on. The flavor and aroma are truly exquisite. It tastes amazing straight, on the rocks, or mixed in drinks like coke and a splash of lime juice.
Definitely exquisite !!!
I just tried FdC18 years and it is a really good rum, nice color, smell and well balanced. I had the chance to visit Flor de Caña factory and I came to know that all Flor de Caña rums are aged the amount of years marked in the bottle and that they grow and process it's own sugar cane which enhance the quality of the production process. I am giving them a 10 because is the only rum that I have tried that not use the solera process, so I do not consider it fair to compare rums with different aging process.
Really smooth and tasty! One of my all time favourites
This is some of the best rum that I have ever had. They also make a 25 year old rum that is better. This rum is fine by itself and is very smooth.
I used to be a scotch drinker and after trying this I am a 18 year Flor De Cana drinker. Best tasting aged spirit I have ever tried.
A deep gold color visually exhibits what your taste buds are about to experience. Without disappointment, it delivers a rich and smooth "old world" mixture of molasses, oak, butterscotch, spirits and very subtle hints of aged bourbon. Attack this experience with a snifter to maximize your intake of the fine aroma, as it would be sinful to even think of having a mix or cola in the same room.
I have over 125 Rums.
The Flor 12 YO and especially this 18 YO, are in my top ten.
Hope to be able to try and buy the 23 YO.
Delicate and smooth, a crime to drink any way but neat. Please savour!
Dark Brown, Amber, Golden
Kind of sweet (not so much as other rums), Smooth (can't smell any alcohol), woody, some honey, vanilla, chocolate, fruits.
so smooth, bit of sweet at the begin, bit bitter ending, definitive wood, vanilla, spicy, unctuous, dense, matted, delicious.
I'm on my third bottle since I've moved to Costa Rica a month ago. This is a great rum to sip with a cigar it is not a 10 merely due to comparison to it's 25 year counterpart. It is not as smooth as the 25 but not as spicy as the 12th. It has a very Carmalee taste with a very nice finish. For the price it is very difficult to beat.
Well balanced scents of oak and molasses. A pleasure to sip straight up.
Obviously even better then the 12yrs old one, more depth, even less afterburn, rich aromas. Sadly is quite pricey but its woth every cent
Deeply tasty and nice rum. Molasses and smooth with a bite at the end.
