N- Oily appearance to the eyes, with a sniff away to tropical. Fresh pressed sugar cane juice, citrus, cedar, tobacco and white chocolate. Fat, creamy, wet turf and grassy, acceptable heats as this is bottled at 52.5abv and un-aged but just maturing in a tank for 3 months. Not as expressive as Bielle, rather emphasize on the freshness and simplicity. (20/25)

P- Good bites of sharp varnish with subtle fragrant of dried leaves and petals, mixed tropical small stone fruits, decent, short on width. (18/25)

F- Medium with plenty of spicy spirit to last, get meatier with nail polish. Same as palate, lack the depth or am i too greedy to think it should give a bit more? (18/25)

Balanced:- Highly fragrant and fresh, a typical tropical nose that make you want a holiday. (19/25)

Weighted Rate:- 75pt

Enjoyed a mini bottle of Neisson Le Rhum 52.5% while vacationing in Fort de France Martinique. Pretty basic bottle and label design. Cheap at EUR 18 for a real sized bottle. Strong Rhum Agricole notes like grass and plenty of wood to your nose and palate. Very long lingering afterburn. Rhum Agricole lovers can easily add 2 points to my score.

Nose: village, tomatoes, fresh milk, cover from corn
Taste: not so strong, but really rich. Cannot described it really.

An indispensable rum. Unbeatable. I've gone through bottles of this for Ti Punch and for mixed drinks. It has a distinct sugar cane flavor that shines through drinks with floral and fruity notes like jasmine and papaya. And as a high proof rum in a 1L bottle, you’re getting a lot for your buck.

A gouter absolument.

52.5% ABV. Wow… hugely wet-grassy nose, some creamed corn. A little like what I've tried from Marie-Galante. Mellows fairly quickly, but maybe that's just my nostrils. Full-flavored taste. Brine, sugar cane, moderately dry. Tremendous mouth feel. Medium finish. Continues to mellow and sweeten over time. Excellent rum!
