Thanks so much for submitting a report. It has been emailed to the Rum Captain and will be actioned shortly.
Les Bienheureux El Pasador de Oro XO is a made from a combination of Guatemalan rums, which are aged anywhere from 6 to 15 years in oak barrels. Additional aging takes place in France in Cognac casks.
Toller Rum, Schöne Farbe, Gutes Preis-Leistungs-Verhältnis, Kräftiger Geschmack. Nicht zu süß, nicht zu herb. In der Nase viele Aromen.
Leider etwas schwierig zu bekommen.
My nerdy-alcohol-jargon is limited, so I’ll just say that I’ve had this bottle for about a year. I think I picked it up in the states when I vacationed in Florida. This rum is fantastic, a very nice sipper that I’ve been enjoying very occasionally as I didn’t want to run out (it’s not available in Canada from what I can tell)
It’s a close second to my favourite; Diplomatico.
Beautiful. Creamy and stunningly smooth. So happy I tried this!
I received this rum for my 18th birthday, even though like most people my age I’ll take a hearty shot of Captain Morgan in the right circumstance, I honestly very much prefer to sip some good rum, cognac, or otherwise. This rum is just that, the nose is a bit aggressive but is nice if you just take a whiff with some leatheriness and smokiness, with what I find to be some fruity undertones. The mouth is much the same with leatheriness being there but not dominating, the smokiness is more in the background than on the nose but is still noticeable, there is a black pepper-ish taste throughout. The finish is slight molasses and caramel with a slight alcohol burn but it’s not too severe. Overall a very good rum that I very much appreciated for my 18th birthday! (Very nice with Lindt dark chocolate)
Great sipping rum. Very smooth and easy drinking. Slightly sweet with lots of different spices and flavors but nothing overwhelming
Oh god, this one was amazing finding. So much flavors you can find in mouth.. vanilla, tobacco, raisins, cinnamon, tropical fruit, chocolate, caramel...but its all well balanced and beautiful smooth.
Delicate, to a extent sweet, the main note is prunes. Wet, swollen prunes. This rum (at not a high price) is my favorite.
Not spicy enough. Not sweet enough. Bland I found. Not much to say...
Il change des rons trop sucrés et passe-partout que l'on peu trouver dans le commerce
Very good sipping rum. Smooth and delicious, as of now I would put it 4th as a favourite behind Plantation XO 20th Anniversary, Diplomático Reserve Exclusiva and Brugal Leyenda. Love the bottle, nice addition on my bar shelve.
I bought this a while back and enjoyed the entire bottle but not enough to make me run out and buy it again.
Silnější, ale velmi chutný, voňavý, velmi mne zaujal
Epic, tasty, spicy, amazing, juicy, flavorful and most importantly very well priced. Definitely a strong 10.
This rum is not available in my country. I bought this and some other rum by online shopping from France.
I'm glad I bought this rum !
It is very smooth, and moderato sweetness, and has midium body. Their balance is just right.
I recommend try this rum.
Nice sweeter Ron, taste is perfect for me. I like it and it is nice to drink like almond a little together with something sweet like caramel or vanilla.
This one has been at the top of my wish list for a long time since it was the best candidate for earning my rating of 8 or higher. When I first started out with the new bottle, I rated it as a low 8 because the WOW factor just was not there. It was just so smooth that it also became somewhat forgettable. It can be consumed neat or on the rocks, but definitely not wasted as a mixer. And as others have said, this one is just too easy to consume the entire bottle in one day (which I used as a pain killer). On the next morning, the 16 gpl of added sugar reared it's ugly head with a slight headache.
I also had preconceived ideas of this one being created to compete with the ever popular Plantation XO 20th Anniversary. Both are created in the Caribbean and then aged in cognac casks in France. Well, Guatemalan rums and Barbados rums are two entirely different things. This one also bears no resemblance to any of the rums from Ron Zacapa just because both come from the same country. This one is not even close to the Plantation version, which is more readily available back at home. I had to get this one in Las Vegas.
This was so smooth, also another bottle that didn't last long, even the non rum drinkers loved it.
V pořádku, tento rum míří hodně vysoko, velké překvapení, doporučuji!
The minute I smelled this one; I knew this was going to be a good experience. Maybe it’s the time it spent in cognac casks; but it almost reminded me of my absolute favourite Crown Royal Product, Cask 16.
In the mouth it was easy to tell this was no Rye but definitely a tasty rum full of wonderful vanilla and as smooth as a babies bottom.
It was hard to find anything wrong with it except maybe; it was hard for me to pick up anything else except vanilla and maybe a little oak making it a little one dimensional to me.
A more advanced taster probably can get more out of it; maybe my nose and taste buds just aren’t cooperating today. But for that reason, I am only giving this an 8.
