Now this is some good stuff
Nice amber color with lof of dry fruits at nose. Walnuts, hazelnuts, honey and citrus fruits like orange.
On the palate, the citrus fruits are always present, I find it drier than the little brother 1987. Not very long with a final always on the citrus. This is a nice rum but the 1987 is softer, it's just a matter of taste but I find this one less well finished.
Not tasted yet (will edit my note later after tasting).
Wood box is broken (I need to glue it). The stickers are half stuck and the golden ribbon got folds, as if it was fastly stuck with by a kid with his feet.
OK, the liquid matters but this is an expensive juice with a packaging which should be part of the customer experience.
Hope the content is better :)
Rum tasting with my good friend in Warsaw started with Ron Malteco 1986. Extremely fancy high end wooden box surrounds a beautiful bottle design. Bright golden color. Dried fruits, Hazelnut and Walnuts to the nose and palate. Surprisingly quick ending with no drama at all. Great rum, but far away from the spectacular 1987.
