Knowing La Confrérie du Rhum, I expected a special selection as it is usual to gratify us. But I am relatively disappointed with this selection 2007. Notes of nuts, dried fruits are well presented, woody as well as vanilla and also present. In the mouth, alcohol is present and the whole evolves well in time but without a real complexity and a clean character. A lack of personality?

In a classic style of HSE this rum is strong alcohoolic. Long aftertaste, dried fruits, a lot of wood and molases.
