Starts off mild in the nose, vanille, soft mouthfeeling. And a boost at the end.

Value for money is just out of this world!
It's sweet, mild, great palate cleanser for cigar tasting. Not overpowering at all.
I prefer Mantuano over rums which costs 2-3 times more. Surprised how not popular it is.
Just get it.

I was extremely surprised with its profile. The orange hits you immediately followed by caramel and vanilla flavours. Definitely one that I will be in my cabinet

Comparing to Diplomatico 12 years, it is not even close to this taste. Maybe good for drinks, but not for shots.

The smoothness makes this rum very drinkable. The taste of alcohol is very single. The taste of vanilla is prominent and makes this a sweet rum.

Botucal Mantuano looks lika pale shadow of brilliant Botucal Reserva Exclusiva. Of course it's tasty and pleasant but it's not even close to all advantages of Reserva Exclusiva. Maybe you like it this one will be your first Botucal rum.

Rum is only suitable for drinks. Very alcoholic taste, spicy, unpleasant. For half its price, we get a similar one

Smokey aroma and taste of a light dark chocolate. A bit harsh at the end but in a pleasent way

The little brother of the Botucal Reserva is less sweet and exudes a nice aroma in the glass.
I would prefer the older brother Reserva Exclusiva. But if Reserva Exclusiva is too sweet for you, you should try the Mantuano. It has also the same profile, but it's a littbe bit harsh and need much more time in the glas.
The taste is dark with caramel, dry fruits and ripe banana. It's darker than RE and less sweet.
I don't liked it first, but after some months of evaporation I think it's good for the price.
Just let some oxygen in the bottle and close it again, after some months it will be much better.
I would rate my bottle after four mounths of evaporation with 66 points.
Smell: caramel, banana, vanilla, burned sugar, dried fruits, wood
Taste: some caramel, banana, vanilla, dry fruits, wood and earth, spice.
Aftertaste: Tannins, after that fruity aromas (dry fruits).
Sweetness: 2.5/5
Spice: 2.5/5
Fruit: 2.5/5
Mildness: 3.5/5
