What a weird smell, but the first time you taste it, you'll love it! A perfect balance between sweet and bitter.

Eyes: dark amber, Nose: Carmelish but with hints of dried apricots. Mouth: quite dry and sourish with a lot of raisins notes, not too sweet, yet complex with a long finish.

Special 15-year editions finished in sherry oloroso barrels, napoleon cognac and port tawny took us on a wonderful journey around the world. Unlike many whiskey editions, here the finish had a strong impact on the character of the drink and you could have fun catching nuances.

2020.02.20 - Key West rum bar. Brown sugar, grapes from port. Very oaky. Extremely dry, quick finish.

Probably my least favorite of the trinity (Cognac, Tawny, Oloroso) of these 15 year old collection, it is similar to Cognac but more sour and less sweet, but do not worry, it is still extremely similar.

Round body, bit sirupy consistancy. Taste is remarkable dry but still sweety on the end. You can realy notice the port finish. One of the best rums you can find in this pricerange.

Oh my. This is a connoisseur's drink. It is refined and complex, yet luscious and utterly enjoyable. I highly enjoy it.

What a treat! Abuelo really hit the right spot with the 3 different cask finish Rums! Can't give none of the three less than an 8!!

It reminds me of zacapa 23 10 years ago before being mass produced. Has a nice sweetness up front that ends with a wonderful woody taste that is just the right amount.

Fantastic and complex. So close to a 9 but just lacking a minuscule amount of depth and finesse on the finish. Same as the cognac finish: so close to being great. Decent value, grab a bottle.

This was the first sipping rum that I purchased. It's smooth with a nice port finish.

First pprto tones you can find in aroma. Taste is complex with nice hint of Tawny, not covering the basic Abuelo rum character. Long aftertaste. Perfect fun is compare all 3 editions (Oloroso,Napoleon,Tawny) together :-)

Very rich, dark color. Taste is just as rich, more like a dessert rum. Nice port finish. Very enjoyable.

Decent aroma. Gentle sweetness in the beginning, then a lot of portish flavor. Pure rum taste in the end.

Wonderful taste rich on port tones. Burn and sweetness is really well balanced making it a pleasant experience.

Purchased a sample from Master of Malt for £6.89.

This is a very fruity expression blackcurrant and redcurrant come through powerfully but very nice.
