Chuť je příjemná a hřejivá.

Tasted at Laka Lono on 11/19/19. Hot nose. Caramel. Molasses. Lingering burn. Almost anesthetic. Some interesting notes of earthy woodiness. Still, this leaves a lot to be desired.

Poured just the slightest bit cloudy which could be influencing my first bottle review. The bottle may be a bit off.

Very lite nose, lite amber in the glass, and a fairly unassuming oaky flavour and finish.
I’ll try the 10yr next if I can find it.

COLOUR: Old brass french horn.

NOSE: Very thin and light; salty sea air; sour fruit; dig deep and you get a very pleasant floral tropical fruit note, like the flowers on a mango or papaya; tropical flora. Score 7/10

TASTE: Very sweet and delicious; rich tropical fruit; gentle and mild; very pleasant; not weak and boring, not intense, but nicely balanced and delightful; you can enjoy this daily and not be unsatisfied. Score 8/10

FINISH: Medium, but drops off quickly; sweet; fruity; slightly watered down at the end. Score 7/10

OVERALL: Very nice and pleasant; this one takes you to a Caribbean vacation; lovely bottle that looks like a rum bottle should, complete with a pirate map-like label. Weighted Score 7.6/10

IMAGERY: Sipping on a beach in Antigua with the waves gentle rolling in; in the distant background is a bar full of rowdy pirates and whores, and I am trying to get a break from all that noise.

for me it s undrinkable how sweet it is, you can find on the net it s 15 grams per liter ...
and as simple mixer it s too expensive ...
i ve made another wrong buying !

English Harbour 5yo - nečekal jsem, že bude tak sladký. Barva světlá, vůně vanilky a tropické ovoce. Návštěva si myslím že tento rum ocení.

Un nez fruité sur de la banane et de la coco. Une belle robe et une bonne attaque en bouche tout en douceur pour finir sur de la banane mur et de la coco. A déguster simplement

barva jantarově světlá, ve vůni karamel a ovoce (cítil jsem i kokos) a dubový sud,
chuť je podobná vůni, navíc se tam projevuje koření
závěr mě ale zklamal, prakticky žádný dojezd, jen alkohol a jakási hořkost
I přes spoustu pozitivních recenzí k samotnému popíjení opakovat nebudu.

Nice nose, absolutely drinkable, only small problem I had with strongness. The rum seemed a little bit bland, but it was not bad at all. It tastes to me like some kind of very mild Eldorado 12yo.
