Longueteau offers here a rum from their first parcel of land. There are 12 parcels with either blue or red sugarcane. Some of them near the sea and others more inside the island. The aim is to make us discover the differences depending on the location of the cane field and the variety used. At the time of this post, there are versions n °1, n °4, n °9 and n °11 for the French La Confrérie du Rhum. This one is very vegetal with fresh sugar cane and also foral and mineral. On the palate, we have a sweetened almost gourmet feeling and a salty note not iodized.
The most austere of the Parcellaire series... Like a thin Genesis.
The best to my taste is the terrific number 4... Yummy juice, pure vesou white dessert !!! This ones seems 'close' in comparison, but the pepper-metallic character is subtly odd... Something to try in ti punch more than neat, I'd say, like a Reimonenq Coeur de Chauffe...
sugar cane juice. dry. 55%
i smell the base of rhum blanc. citric, grassy tunes and a little bit of peppar.
i taste the same with the citric in the front and the pepper in the back. salty. full aroma. nice body, clean spirit with silky body.
9/10 - drop 8 points if you like it sweet!
it´s the brother of the same rhum from parcelle 9. both are single field rhums. no mixture with other fresh sugar cane from other parcelles. still the same distillery. the pc has more notes of pepper and the citric tunes going in the back.
Try to get a well lit shot from the front of the rum label

Longueteau produces some of the best whites, very sippable and complex. The cane from the sunny Parcelle 1, gives this Rhum a very distinct character. The nose is fruity, brimming with mango and white chocolate. It's quite potent in the mouth with citric and vegetal notes, sea salt and white chocolate. The peppery finish lingers with a tickly, spicy sensation in the cheeks. Impressive.
