Discretly sweet first nose, caramel coming out progressively, dusty corner smell, old cave. A bit of vanilla. Coffee, earthy, tobacco mouth. Smooth but ..
The nose is very defined, caramel and vanilla.
Taste is exactly what's on the nose with perhaps a hint of smokiness...but the surprise is the peppery notes that accompany the caramel and vanilla...very pleasant. Smooth with a gentle roughness going down, then your stomach gets a feel of the pepperiness ...I would say ginger, but it isn't that sort of taste or heat.
This is a deeper more flavoursome rum than the Anejo, having spent 4-6 years in oak barrels...and again there is a slight bitterness in the after-taste on your tongue, but not unpleasant...I guess it is to do with the oak notes coming through. I really recommend this, but I am unsure if you will find it anywhere, but I have access to some very unusual and rare rums that I am working my way through.
Try to get a well lit shot from the front of the rum label

Aroma a vainilla y caramelo. Al probarlo deja una nota de sabor larga. Ideal para compartir con amigos.
