I had a bottle of this a few yrs back and it was pretty tasty. I just wish you could find it in stores now! I have’t been able to find it in any store, considering it’s a MA made rum and I live here. It had a nice smooth taste and finish with a alc bite. A great distilled rum from Nantucket.
That is what the 50 gallon barrels sitting outside the "distillery" (doubt it!) said.
Am a Nantucket guy at least yearly for decades-- been to Cisco Brewery in past & 888 Distillery in 2017. Was rather harsh/simple/like solvent in odor & taste. 888 Vodka even more like lighter fluid. Think they just blend stuff to proof there (stated as 88.8/44.4% alcohol, hence the Triple 8 brand) to sell to the well-funded clientele ( and the building seems too small as well/mostly storage). Saved the neat bottle to fill with something better later. Hate to knock anything Nantucket but-- avoid.
Try to get a well lit shot from the front of the rum label

All the way from Nantucket, Massachusetts, "the sailors' graveyard", where as many ships rest at the bottom of the ocean as those that sail on it. This is good, strong, blackstrap molasses rum running at 88.8 proof, full of flavor and bite, true to its name. It is not for sissies. Don't bother trying to drown this rum in soda pop. You don't have enough. This rum won't play well with other mixers either. It is made to be enjoyed straight up while you face the hurricane's full-on frontal assault, lashed to the helm, wind screaming in your ears and rain pounding your face. Take a swig right out of the bottle because you must. And try to stay afloat...
