Jamaica | Aged

Distilled using small-batch copper pot stills uniquely designed for Appleton Estate, this rum is a blend of several rums aged 21 years in American oak barrels. Once blended, the rum is re-casked for two years to marry the flavors.

This rum is just wow! Lovely balanced taste. All the flavours are just right and the wonderful long finish completes the experience!

Very aggresive alcoholic aroma. Raisins are first markable flavor. Then it goes smoothly to the brandy end.

In contrast with other aged rums, Appleton 21 keeps its really strong alcoholic smell. After first sip fruity raisines are pleasantly mixed with harsher body ended by oaky aftertaste.

A sip of this and I am right back on the Island. It is a much light rum then I normally like but I found it a little to easy to drink and before I knew it most of the bottle was gone.

Everything about this rum is outstanding. From the packaging to the aroma to the subtle but clear taste notes this rum really does not disappoint. Even at the high price tag it seems like a value.

This rum from Appleton Estate really stands out. (2) Strong nose, great brown colour and a taste like heaven.

Absolutely delicious! Purchased a sample from Master of Malt for £13.

Stunning liquid very nice. Smooth and complex, oaky and sweet but not too sweet. It's just so nice!

There is nothing about the Appleton 21 year old rum to complain about. A sipping only rum that defines fine rum. Joyce Spence is a master blender that has only elevated her skills, applied them to Appleton rums, and has staked Jamaican rums as one of the finest spirits on the planet. Spence was not around when I first visited Appleton in 1991 and my mind was blown with a taste of the 50 year Appleton at the time of our tour. My second visit in 1997 was my first meeting with Mrs. Spence. Didn't have the opportunity to taste the 50 year Appleton at that 1997 visit, but the 30 year was available and was absolutely delicious. A small amount in a rocks glass with one large cube of ice, let sit for 5 minutes, swirl and enjoy! It is truly one of the best experiences one can have when imbibing a fine rum. Exceeds aged Scotches, and Cognacs! One taste and your fiends will quickly be Rum aficionados. Enjoy the best rums in the world that only Appleton Estate can provide.

This is amazing, with the proper blend of bite and sweetness. I’ve enjoyed Appleton over the years, but my brother and Sister-in-law (she’s Jamaican) introduced me to this rum and it is some of best I’ve had. I’m a great lover of Gosling but Appleton has really grown on me over the years.

As others have said, this is full of oak flavor. There is a slight sweetness at the end. Overall, a nice rum to sip on it's own. However, with the price, I think the 12yr is more bang for your buck and just as pleasing for those who like drier rums.

Asi je to dobry rum, ale me osobne teda moc nesedi. 100€ uz bych za nej asi nedal.
