Pineapple rum is always a one-trick pony in the sense that you can’t mix it with much other than the basics. Certainly a good rum for what it aims to be, but the green coloring and the artificial nature of it really desensitizes the rum factor of your beverage. It’s a specialty rum, so you should know what to expect from it.

All the Tortuga flavored rums are great. I have Banana, Mango, Vanilla and Pineapple all at my house right now.

I like using this as a sub for an ounce of pineapple juice in almost any cocktail. But it doesn’t taste like rum and is indeed too sweet for any other purpose.

I really like pineapple in general so this is right up my alley, a tad sweet for me but I enjoyed this mixed with their coconut rum over rocks!!!

Picked up a bottle in Grand Cayman after a sampling at the Tortuga store while on a cruise. Really good flavor without a lot of burn or harshness. Can almost be drank straight, but really not a sipper as it's just too sweet to me. However, it mixes very well in most any drink where a bit of pineapple flavor is wanted. My wife loves it in OJ with an extra shot of good rum or tequila. Really wish I'd picked up more as it's not available in the US. Might be time to book another cruise....
