El Dorado Special Reserve 15-Year rum is crafted from 15 to 25 year old rums that are then blended and married together in bourbon oak casks. Prior to blending the original batches are distilled using 4 unique stills - the Enmore and Diamond Coffey stills, the Port Mourant double wooden pot still, and the Versailles single wooden pot still.
The bottle of El Dorado Special Reserve 15-year was inspired by the the old hand-blown flasks used by sugar planters on the banks of the Demerara river.

Great flavor with a slight bitter taste but smooth finish.

Not as smooth or sweet as the 12 year. Nose has a strong acetone scent. Strong citrus notes and smooth on the tongue.

This was my introduction to El Dorado rum. Good and worth the price paid here, but Oh My! The 21 year old!!!

En söt rom med bra tryck. Mycket fat, fin eftersmak lite åt lakris hållet. men jag uppskattar 12an mer.

Lekker rum to be enjoyed neat or on the rocks. Tried it also with coke to satisfy my curiosity but that wasn't even a remotely nice rum and coke.

Will update as my pallete for funky Demerara rum has changed and I recall this being not as sweet as expected for how much sugar is added...

Quite sour and dry, whisky-like. The whisky creates a bitter finish in otherwise pleasant rum with deep flavors.
