El Dorado Special Reserve 15-Year rum

El Dorado Special Reserve 15-Year

Guyana | Aged | 43% ABV

El Dorado Special Reserve 15-Year rum is crafted from 15 to 25 year old rums that are then blended and married together in bourbon oak casks. Prior to blending the original batches are distilled using 4 unique stills - the Enmore and Diamond Coffey stills, the Port Mourant double wooden pot still, and the Versailles single wooden pot still.

The bottle of El Dorado Special Reserve 15-year was inspired by the the old hand-blown flasks used by sugar planters on the banks of the Demerara river.

Somehow this rum matches exactly my idea of what rum smells, looks and tastes like. Christmas spices, cola, muscovado sugar
Perfect comfort sipper.

Klassisk og dejlig rom! Dejlig rund smag, velbalanceret og et must i en hver romsamling. Til prisen er det et must have, og virkelig value for money.

This probably the best rum available in the $40-$50 class. A go-to favorite for sipping.

This rum offers the full experience; excellent aroma, smooth rich taste, great mixer & sipper. Personally this is the first rum i've come across that I can sip, comfortably, on the rocks. Truly great, my rum of choice, and go to gift.

This is one of the best ones at value/money ratio. Awesome aroma of vanilla, spice, fruit and oak. Rum is nicely smooth and balanced with little burn at the end. In mouth with flavours of vanilla, tobaccoo, oak and caramel. I can highly recommend this one to everybody.

This is my gold standard rum. Every aged rum gets compared to this. Smooth,
Slightly sweet, with a woodsy after taste. Perfect served on the rocks. Can't beat the price around $40, nothing else in this price category compares.

Richer in taste than the already quite good 12 years old El Dorado, the pricier 15 years old is in a class of its own as the sipping rum of choice. This rum has recently become my reference! Although there is a vast number of rums that I don't know ...yet!

Sehr facettenreicher Rum mit Charakter. Nicht so rund wie der 21er.

Among the smoothest, tastiest spirits I've ever had the pleasure of tasting. Very subdued alcohol burn on the nose and on the finish, you can tell this stuff is very well mellowed. Palate is delightfully sweetened, without overdoing it, and with silky, ever so smoky, ever so spicy hints. Suffice to say, I'm a fan of this rum and look forward to being able to work my way up the El Dorado ladder.

Seriously good rum. While I like my Barbados rums, I gave this another try. This was my 2nd choice when my plantation 20th anniversary was sold out. I didn’t expect to get more of what I like the plantation for. This is more dark, sweet and complex, and I like it too.
