Significant and long lasting bourbon aftertaste. Otherwise pretty typical representative for Dominican aged rums.

The overall feeling is similar to Matusalem 15 - fake over-the-top vanilla with something like eggnog, in both smell and taste, prickly and peppery aftertaste (harsh alcohol getting through the additives), but as far as my memory serves me right, this is probably worse. Wanted a dominical rum and got spiced, emm, something. And same as with the age statement of Matusalem, 12 is only a number here, absolutely no trace of wood, even in the scent of emptied glass where wood is usually most prominent. At least it did not cost me too much, as much as Doorly 5y, but I can see other offers mostly 50% more expensive even more than Matusalem 15, which is a total nonsense for a rum that should cost as much as Captain Morgan. If you like Captain Morgan - try it, otherwise avoid.

Spíše sladší a jemnější rum..ale ne až tak sladký jako např. Bucanero..
