How do you ruin a port aged rum? Nose is very inviting even with a slight alcohol burn. Rancid grape taste overly harsh even though its cousins versailles and enmore have about the same abv and are way smoother. Sad because this brand is one of my top favorites. Would prefer a dos maderas or admiral rodney port finish.

Aroma is intense, estery, hint of banana. For a cask strength it's very smooth but long lasting warmth.

Can’t understand why this is not rated higher. I know it is not a “sweet”ride, but It’s powerfull, strong nose with a Dark taste. Sublime !

This is truly a very powerful rum. I do enjoy it, but it is without doubt not for everyone. The power in this rum is not balanced, and the alcohol got quite a burn. It's very interesting to drink it, and you can definitely taste some of the flavours you also find in for example el dorado 15 years old. For itself this rum is way to unbalanced, and would do better in a blend with some smooth rum to make it more balanced. But I regret nothing buying this piece of history. The price tag is a little off tho, considering how few people this rum appeal to

vůně příjemná, nasládlá, zemitá, koření vanilka a skořice, v chutí nasládlost a velké sousto pendreku, koření, zemitost, 61,4% vcelku jemných, závěr Jamajka
pendreky nesnáším a k tomu ta jamajka, to neee...

The looser in these special releases, this was thin, "hot" and burning, with little to show more than that. Sure it has Port Morant aniseed and spices, but...disappointing.

Very dry taste starting with short fruity tones ending with wood, an marine tones. Not burning at all, Inwould expect around 50% , not 61% ! Absolutely out of typical El Dorado sweet character. Similar to Hampden...
Interesting experience, but the price for bottle (2000Eur) is not adequate.

Purchased a sample of this potent sipper from Master of Malt.

This 1999 Port Mourant had a powerful oaky nose. Sweet and incredibly oaky it almost takes your breath away good there's rich fruit dates and raisin on the finish.
