Well, this rum is nothing superior. But also, it doesn't make itself something, it isn't. And yet, it becomes great rum. And great friend. It have very very smooth taste with little sweetness, very simple but understanding palate of taste, rather light and fruity and very pleasant spring smell. And that makes it excellent relaxing sipper. Kick-less, friendly, familiar, soothing. At room temperature diluted with small drip of water, it could accompany you for hours, leaving you relaxed. My favourite blend but soothing sipper. As sipper for common relaxing occasions - excellent. As complex rum for tasting and deep enjoying - hardly no. AS mixer - any drink kill it's perks, especially Cola. So no. take a word from my review and turn another cheek for this friendly fellow.

For just under $30, this is a versatile and good-tasting rum. It's a clear step above its cousin, Plantation Original Dark. It's sippable, though there's some burn there and I prefer it over ice when taken straight. As a mixer, it can't be beat...it's smooth and the rum flavor comes through. I'm still rather new to rum exploration and so far haven't bought the same type twice, but when this one's gone I'll probably have to purchase another bottle.

Příjemný run, lehký. Vanilka. Lehké pití na celý večer.

Also this Plantation is very good. A nice sipper. To be Honest The smell could be more exotic but the taste is very smooth. Vanilla, a little notes of grilled coconut in it. What a pleasure. A smooth Woody burning aftertaste. What more do I want.
I give this Plantation an 8 again. Plantation my favourite I must say.
Oh and in the cola he’s also doing his job as usual.

This rum is really great for me. You can feel a strong coconut, not spicy taste and really cheap.

Bevibile, ma niente di memorabile. Scrivo per arrivare ai 50 caratteri.

Although it feels young, it's not a bad sipper, certainly better than the Original Dark.

I expected this spirit to be a decent mixer, however it turned to be a great sipper as well. Very well done for a rum that was aged only few years!

After the 3 Stars Artisanal White Rum from Plantation i had some high expectations from the Barbados Grand Reserve, which is also priced in a higher tier. as my headline hints, this is exactly what i feel...
Nose: Gentle tropical sweetness subdued as if not to offend the crowd, however in a fancy way perfumers know how, delicate hints of Bananas, Vanilla and... Cheese cake (or is it the rum extract added to the cake?) but not a single impression is strong enough to last enough time to postpone the first sip.
in a way it feel like an encounter with a busy French noble who had no time to prepare as should for our date. on the other hand it's could be an encounter with a french prostitute in a hurry in a Parisian forest, she smells and looks nice, but is in a hurry for her next customer...
Tongue: Sweet Honeybee nectar. Sweet Oleander Syrup smashed from the flower guts. Elusive, cheating Sweetness which fades quickly like Monosodium glutamate, this French noble is sneaky just like the Parisian prostitute, spend too much time with them and you might be stripped of your consciousness and money. it is surely a high price to pay for this brief Soma experience. on the other hand, how many French nobles the average rum drinker knows? (I am a documented Polish Noble, and even i don't know too many of them).
Finish: Brief... Too Brief... Lingering but brief. like a unsuccessful orgasm. wish it had lasted, but i would do it again, and again.
I rank it 80 out of 100 hence a 8/10
but with a warning. if Plantation "3 Stars" is Louis XIV in beggars clothes, this Frenchman is going to swindle you to believe he is a beautiful hooker.
just beware, he is not!

Intersting fruity taste, some citruses, olives. Not expensive. Good with a cigar or just like simple rum-type alcohol if you need to warm up. Not for sipping I guess.
