This might be the rum I would recommend to someone when they're first starting out. It was pretty good but just slightly "cough-syrupy" for my tastes.

This one should be saved in the glass so you can smiff IT all night long. Lush flavour and intense, Not too sweet taste.

until I find another.... I am always on the lookout for something new

I can not put into words how good this is. I mean... mmmm. Just try it! Its like rums bacon (If you like bacon)

This rum was an instant favorite for me. With notes of chocolate and toasted caramel the flavor was pleasant but not too sweet. There is almost no bite to it from the alcohol, making it an easy rum to drink and great for introducing friends to rum!

Neat: nose is molasses/vanilla. No burn. Aromatic taste as weird as that sounds. Definite chocolate notes. Vanilla. Definitely grows on you. Worth having in your collection.

It's a dark and quite sweet rum made to please the palates of beginners and rum lovers alike. I can imagine that this ron may serve as a good introduction for those, who are used to drink Cuba libre and want to try a sipping rum for their first time. But also for the seasoned rum drinker it can serve as a pleasant change if you're in the mood for a sweeter rum, that isn't spiced but still has a nice full aroma and color of an aged molasses rum. However, for some it may be a bit too sweet and maybe not too complex in aroma.
Altogether Botucal Reserva Exclusiva it's a nice dark ron with sweet taste and pleasant aroma, nice and easy to drink neat.

This was a birthday gift and it really changed my perception of rum. A was an occasional rum and coke kind of guy but taught me how to sip.

It's smooth and rich and taste of caramel and vanilla, and hardly any noticeable alcohol.

Very nice sweet flavours. Wood, vanilla and plum are in focus. Just easy to drink

Delikatność destylatu, ale nie mam tutaj na myśli różnorodności smaków, a brak odczucia smaku czystego alkoholu, co przy założeniu, że rum jest starzony do 12 lat świadczy o tym, że dołożono wiele starań na etapie destylacji, by stworzyć rum bardzo dobry jakościowo.

On the nose, it was welcoming, but upon first taste, as the cold liquid surrounded my pallet, I sensed a slightly medicinal flavor. Another sip. Then another. Each time getting better. It took me a glass, but it grew on me. It tastes authentic and I don’t have any qualification to say that, but it tastes like original recipe rum. To this day I find that the value and the flavor profile makes this a very strong performer.

I found this rum to be very flavorful but not overbearing or over the top.

A very balanced rum with strong hints of cocoa, vanilla and caramel with a hint of smoke. A nice sipper and mixer this one of the better affordable rums today.

This is probably a classic one. It is very sweet and creamy. If it was a hint less sweet, it would score a 9. Yet, I found it impressive and remarkable. Will definitely buy more.

This one is for sitting by the fire and truly enjoying a glass of rum. Don’t even think about mixing it with anything
