A nice smooth rum, perfect just on ice. It’s on a par with the Solera 23 YO

Smooth and good flavor, but I prefer the regular 23 solera.
Could taste more smoked for me.
It´s good, but I prefer the 23 Solera for less money.

My favorite so far from what i’ve tried of the Zacapa family, super super smooth abit sweet and the smokey taste is what makes the difference from all the others. Highly recomend this one, worth every penny!

Vanilla smoky caramel rich nose. Rich vanilla sweet smoky oaky start and body. Abvish but it fades out. Spicy and classic Zacapa caramel. Richer then RZ 23 but less smooth then XO. The taste develops long after first sip and became more round and gentle... at the very end balanced vanilla smoky chocolate sweetness caramel...

Inte helt i min smak, rökig, något starkare än vanligt, föredrar den lenare stilen.

Perhaps a little more similar to a very smooth whiskey the smoky flavor is prevalent and very tasty. An excellent drink.

This is good! Dark and flavory with much oak and some vanilla. Lovely to the nose. A little alcohol at first but it dissapears fast in the sweetness. An upgraded 23 solera. If you like the 23 solera you will love this one. Very nice!

I didnt like it so much. Too much smoky. If you like peaty you problably will like it.

Zacapa rom startede jeg ud med som romdrikker, som mange andre i DK, har prøvet nogle stykker nu og bliver næsten skuffet hver gang. Meget andet derude der er bedre til lavere pris

This is a great Zacapa, a little bit smoky. Much better than the 23. It's more matured, more intensive and heavier.
It's between the old Zacapas and the XO. It's not as balanced as XO, but it's intensive .
Smell: oak, caramel, mandarine, some herbs and smoked BBQ, dry fruits (plum)
Taste: Starts with caramel, barrel/wood, dry fruits, then some smoke appear with some tannins. It tastes like BBQ smoke, not like ash or islay finish.
I like this tasty smoked aroma.
Finish: spice, date, burned sugar, wood and some smoke
Sweetness: 3/5
Spice: 3/5

Mildness: 3.5/5
