Kein schlechter Rum für den Preis, hallt lange nach....ein bisschen wie Honig auf der Zunge.
My friend brought this back from the Dominican and it sat on his bar shelf until last week. He's a Rum Ratings follower and I decided it was time for me to join and this is my first review. It's a sweet and smooth rum. I tasted caramel or butterscotch...I can't tell the difference yet as well as vanilla and oak. As a newbie, that's all I could detect. I think he said he paid about $24 Canadian for it and it's better than anything that I have tried at the LCBO in that price range. That price range gets you Lambs or Captain Morgans....Yikes.
Delicious sipping rum. Sweet and fruity. Tasted like a fine rum mixed with a high end spanish red vermouth. Then I read the label in the back of the bottle: mixture of 80% aged rums and 20% spanish wines. Nevertheless, an excellent result.
Beaucoup de sucre au nez et en bouche. Très beau nez sur la barrique. Rond, facile à boire avec du des arômes de caramel. C’est bon, mais un peu trop en barrique et sucré a mon goût pour être un grand rhum. Excellent RQP.
top rum at honest price, for domestic market only, over sweet , need to sip with fruits
This room is damn near perfect in my opinion. The color is beautiful the aroma is stunning and it's as smooth as silk. Maybe a little bit on the sweet side but it's definitely forgivable given the all-around package.
Exquisito ron Dominicano. Hasta ahora el mejor brugal q eh probado, tome mucho este en Punta Cana, es dulce, baja suabe y cero resaca al dia siguiente. Si tienes la oportunidad de obtener uno pruebalo, muy rico este ron.
Hmmmmmmm deliciousssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssss
Try to get a well lit shot from the front of the rum label

Flavour is balance with midium to high sweetness (but not too much overhelming or cloying artificial like A. H. Riise stuff), cinamon, spice, honey, cherry, figs, raisins, peaches & tiny bourbon oak with medium to short aftertaste and very low alcohol (it is a bit bland). The price in Europe is around 45-55 euro compared Dominican Republic which is around 20$ (very cheap) but even so I think for the taste the value is good. This is not something complex or that special-luxury feeling, it is a bit simple but very good for daily drinking for most people but fore me needs little more complexity & maturness to hit higher mark...
