El Dorado 21 is produced near the equator in Guyana by Demerara distillery. The final product is a blend of rums, aged between 21 and 25 years and crafted using 100% locally sourced Demerara sugar. Traditional tools are used in the distilling processes including three unique wooden stills. The rums rest until maturity in 45 gallon oak casks.

I actually prefer the El Dorado 15, less expensive, but way more interesting. This has a bit more alcohol taste and is dryer than the 15. Don't get me wrong it is a great rum. It has some complex flavors that you want to savor.
if you like sweet rums, but not too sweet, this is yours. the el dorado 21 seems to bee not so sweet. more leather, more smoke, more softness, more deep, more body. a great rum with a special wooden touch.
Finally added this bottle to my collection, have been keeping the 15 year around as a constant staple on my shelf. The El Dorado line is one of my favorites and now I just need a special occasion to open this addition. Like maybe a Monday.
This was pretty good stuff. Not too sweet and not too dry. If I have to be honest, I think I prefer the 12 year expression more and it's considerably less expensive!
Manage to get a sample of this after having finished a bottle of both the 12 & 15yo.
It's a very nice and very smooth, sweet, spicy with oaky dry finish,
This version is nearly twice the price of the 15yo but to me it doesn't relate to to twice as much "enjoyment".
Unless I'm going to be loaded very soon I'll be sticking to the 15yo
Smooth and rich with notes of spice and tropical fruits.
The most complex, and least sweet one in the El Dorado family. Needs a little rest in the glass before drinking.
Un excellent rhum a prendre après un bon repas..... just wow
Your review – you could include things like color, aroma, body, taste, finish, spice, smoothness… really anything you want! You can also share an optional picture of the drink (or better still - you enjoying it!) by attaching a photo below.
'spice nose with hints of honey and dark sugar'
"El Dorado 21-Year rum review by The Ultimate RumGuide"
There is an extra layer of oak in the profile.
"Notes of oak and a slight spiciness also comes through. The rum is very smooth and easy drinking but complex enough to ensure you savour each sip of the drink. The finish is long lasting."
Try to get a well lit shot from the front of the rum label

I bought this bottle because of the reviews here. Initial impressions. For the price, the packaging is a little cheap. I know that it doesn’t matter, but it does to me. I like my rum shelf to look good. Ah, vanity!
The nose of this rum belies it’s flavor. The smell is a bit harsh, at first but mellows with a bit of rest as most rums do. Notes of oak, chocolate, brown sugar and spice.
I drink most of my rum with a single ice cube, and this one is VERY smooth. Lightly sweet on the tongue, but with an artificial feel to it.
Immediately after sipping brown sugar, honey and spice meet your palate and the aftertaste is that of honey. Overall very pleasant and worthy of a spot on the shelf, despite the cheap bottle.
Update: mouth full of chocolate. All other notes disappear under the cocoa flavor. Needed another drink to get the chocolate flavor out of my mouth.
Update 8/31/20. After a few months on my shelf, this rum has changed dramatically. The aftertaste is like vomit. Nasty AF.
Best consumed quickly because time does not help this rum. I pitched the remainder of the glass.
