Being in the favor of less matured/spicy distillates, I find this one matching it's fresh and vivid bottle. As a distillate, it is bit of rude stuff, but carries with very playful, light and yet complex sensation. Bottled summer.
Update: I have obtained another bottle, which wasn't so pronounced with sparkling light character of that before. Just finished comparing bottles, and sure enough they come from different batches. So, one might need luck to come to the exceptional one. The better one has this serial at the back: L21088202208.

CanoRio Cachaça comes to us from the Fazenda Soledade company in Rio, Brazil. They press their sugar cane within 24 hours of it being harvested to create the juice which in turn is used to create this refreshing spirit. Of course, this works very well in a Caipirinha...Fresh fruit salad (with plenty of chunks of pineapple), followed by a herbal hint of cut grass.

Strong alcohol burn but not too unpleasant. Also reminds me a bit of some tequilas that I've tried. I had thought cachaca would taste more like agricole; fresh and grassy... but didn't really get it in this one. Still it's a cheap bottle for a nice summer drink. This was my first cachaca so I don't really have anything to compare it to.
