Na tomto rume okamžite upúta parádna originálna fľaša. Chvíľu trvá vytiahnuť masívny korok, farba je krásny hlboký jantár. Vôňa nie je príliš výrazná, zato je úplne jednoznačná - banán s vanilkou. Táto kombinácia mi v princípe neprekáža, čo ale uberá z dobrého pocitu, je značne umelá chuť. Narozdiel od väčšiny rumov žiadny dub, dym ani karamel. Tá jednostrannosť, resp. úzke rozpätie tónov sú až zarážajúce. Pri tomto sladšom rume mi imponovala jemnosť, aj väčší dúšok len jemne pohladí jazyk a ústnu dutinu, absentuje štipľavosť. Naopak sklamal krátky záver, kedy na jazyku ostáva len matne umelá vanilková stopa. S každým ďalším pohárikom však môj dojem viac a viac opadá. K výslednému ratingu prispela aj vyššia cenovka.

Interesting bottle and presentation for the dark amber rum but it goes down hill from there. The smells of banana and caramel giving a sweet flavour that does not last.

Couple of friends enjoyed this rum straight we felt the caramel came through. Wife liked it “ for rum” so I would have to say for some here this would be too sweet. However 6 people with different pallets enjoyed this rum straight. I think safe bet for entertaining.

This rum is popular, but I have to say that I was a little dissapointed. It has very sweet banana scent. Flavour is decent, smooth but very banana and vanilla like. It is more flavourish, than I would expect and like.

If you are a rum purist, just pass this one by. Its sweet, its syrupy, and its banana flavored. Yes, it is delicious to those of us with a serious sweet tooth and a penchant for dessert like cocktails, but it has some good points that the more serious of us might also enjoy.

Whole very sweet it has a unique flavor and nose. It's a very enjoyable presentation, with its interesting bottle and cork, and banana flavor leading many to believe that it's nothing more than a sweet and gimmicky low quality product.. it do not be mislead!

I found this one to be delicious and pleasant, and while yes it is very sweet, it still has some wonderful complexity to its flavor. Other than the powerful banana scent (which tastes much milder than you'd expect), I found some wonderful vanilla and spicy notes as well, and have had nothing but positive reviews from friends who I have shared it with.

Save this one for the newbies in your circle, and use it to help introduce them to the wonderful range of rum flavors out there. It's a great mixer, and easy to drink too much of; definitely a dessert drink.

this is one of my favorites, I always have one on the shelf in case I get the urge for something good and sweet.

What defines a good rum? Its preference among a wide audience, or when a self-called "professional" calls it a good rum?

It has a rich aroma, a great mixture of taste with a lot of banana and vanilla (although a bit too much sweet) with amazing finish.

A bottle is simple but with a good design.

A great choice for people who prefer sweet and not too heavy taste.

Initial flavor was cream soda. The bottle doesn’t suggest added flavors, but it sure seems that way- and not good additions. Mixed wasn’t much better, with the flavor overpowering everything else. A 4.5 gets rounded down.
