What I like most when I look at my bottles is when I can call for a particular drink, such as I want a "bumbu and coke". Meaning that the rum itself has such a distinct flavor I can discern it from the others. That's what a truly good rum should be able to do. This rum is deep complicated and rich in a flavor not like anything I have had before kind of flavor either. Something like a banana-cinnamon. Now the only reason keeping me back from 10/10 is the fact it isn't 80 proof. It's 70 proof. Which makes it cheating a little compared to the other rums so I knock a point off. Extremely smooth. This could probably be used as a contact solution no problem, it's just that smooth. Extremely high value for price. Would recommend in any drinking combination.

My first thought was this is rum for people that don't like the taste of rum.
I was very disappointed.
It's a sweet syrup. Would probably be good on pancakes.

My friend bought me a shot of this. Sweet, but not overwhelmingly so. Smooth, as the sugar is intended to do. I can see why people like it.
Taste was banoffee pie. All the way.

I doubt that i would recognize this as a rum in a blindtest. One of the sweetest rums i have tasted. I'm into sweet rums but this was even a little to much for me.

Most people mentioned that the rum is very sweet, and it is, however still a very enjoyable sipping rum. You can definitely smell and taste banana and vanilla, it also has hints of coconuts and brown sugar However, if you don't like sweet rums, this won't be for you. There are no hints of oak or smoke so if you are an "old rum" or "aged rum" aficionado, I'd recommend to stay away but this is a perfect starter premium sipping rum. I would say an amazing desert rum.

For some this will be too super sweet and a step away from rum itself for the purist. I however really enjoyed it - great to have with a desert. Very drinkable

I thoroughly enjoy drinking this rum and is one of my go to, if it is ever in stock.

Pleasantly sweet and smooth with vanilla and banana flavours. Delicious on the rocks or with a ginger beer.

Although probably not one for those that prefer a more bitter or sour flavour.

Das Rezept für den BUMBU The Original stammt aus dem 16. und 17. Jahrhundert Seefahrer und Kaufleute mischten zu ihrem Rum karibische Früchte und Gewürze und nannten es Bumbu.
