Smooth, sweet, coconut taste, powdery aftertaste...

I've been searching for a good sipping rum and this is very good. This with a splash of coke will almost taste like amaretto. Not harsh like traditional low cost rum, but very smooth with spice. Definitely designed to be a sipping rum and the heavyweight bottle it comes in is very nice.

Very sweet sugar added hard to tell what the rum actually tastes like

We bought one bottle before our vacation last year and it lasts for the whole week. Too aromatic, taste is mediocre.

I originally rated this Bumbu a 7 a couple of months back and had to redo my review and drop this to a four It is ridiculously expensive compared to better spiced rums. Foursquare. Brinley shipwrecked. Sailor Jerry. Etc... Bumbu is terribly sweet and lacks the character of many of the others. It is more sugar than anything.

This rum doesn't feel or taste like any other rum. My wife not a rum lover like me, loves this. To me it's tasty for about half a glas.

Aroma
Artificial Vanilla, cake batter, baked sugar, and fake molasses.

Taste
Artificial caramel, fake vanilla, birthday cake ice cream, and chemical sugar.

This rum is absolutely awful! It tastes like what tourists and untrained people think rum tastes like. It is overtly sweet, fake in flavor, and has a chemical aftertaste. The bottom line is, do not under any circumstances buy this rum. You will be thoroughly disappointed and wish you would have spent your money elsewhere.

A very clean and smooth rum to the Price. One of my prefered rum for rum and Pepsi or cola. Also goes Well on a hot evening as a straight single.
