This rum is simply for a party time rum and coke and it's good or bad enough for the role.. moving on.
At least they used to. I donβt know why they used to do that.
Drank a lot of this in my 20s and 30s. Unfortunately, a lot of restaurants will have this, Bacardi Silver, and Myers. π€’
βI will have a sparkling water please.β
No one is gonna read this review. Captain Morgan became popular in the 80s because they added sugar to rum. FΓn.
The typical party drink when I am out with friends.
Nothing for a rum enthusiast, but still better than nothing on a college party.
Not great not terrible.... but better pour some cola in it.
The nose on this rum is sharp, sweet and artificial. It smells almost cloyingly sickly sweet.
"It really is just vanilla, vanilla and a touch more vanilla. There is no subtlety, no hints of spices not even a hint of ginger or anything worth while. Its basically Vanilla flavoured rum."
Try to get a well lit shot from the front of the rum label

This is the rum we've all had. It's probably the most easily available rum in any pub or bar in most countries. This is what you drink to get drunk not necessarily to enjoy. It's perfectly serviceable with coke and will definitely do the job. I wouldn't go out and by a bottle just to have in the cupboard for the odd occasion though. You can get much better rums for not too much more money but if you want to get drunk/ lit/ krunk/ turnt up this is your man!
